Welcome to our Institute

Matale Secondary School was established around 2006. It was built by the Royal Bafokeng Nation. His Excellency and Queen Mother were present in the opening ceremony. His Excellency is proud to have Matale as one of the few high schools in Phokeng that encourages education among youths in Phokeng village and neighboring villages.

The Former Principal was Mrs O.E Motshwanedi-Marimo, who began when the school only had grade 8 - 9. In 2017 Matale became a Secondary school as it introduced Grade 12 and produced its first class of Grade 12s in 2018.

Our current Principal is Mr O.E Sesinyi, took the reigns from Mrs O.E Motshwanedi-Marimo in 2020 and we look forward to his dedication and zeal of change to Matale through his leadership. He is a man who has vision and his mission is to see Matale Secondary being one of the three high school's in Phokeng village to bring about change through his many years of experience.
